Ensure your radios are updated with the latest software and configuration, without compromising your everyday communications.
UPDATE YOUR ASTRO 25 TWO-WAY RADIOS OVER THE AIR
Programming Over Project 25 (POP25) makes it easy to access and keep your ASTRO 25 two-way radios updated over-the-air via the Digital ASTRO 25 Integrated Voice and Data (IV&D) network.
Talkgroup text messaging
Get more from your mission critical ASTRO® 25 system with ASTRO 25 Advanced Messaging Solution. Users can quickly send and receive messages, including BOLOs, directly from their data-enabled Motorola two-way radios. With access to this information, first responders are able to make on-the-spot decisions, freeing air time for critical voice communications.
When integrated with CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), your personnel can also receive query updates and dispatch information, and remotely update their status. The ASTRO 25 Advanced Messaging Solution helps you better serve your community with a faster, safer and better coordinated and informed workforce.
Over-the-air rekeying
OTAR sends updates to radios over the air, so users do not have to bring their radios in for manual service, saving time and protecting productivity.
Solve the logistical problem of maintaining secure wireless communications and eliminate the burden of manually rekeying your radios on a regular basis. Project 25 (P25) compliant OTAR is part of a powerful suite of ASTRO® 25 applications designed for radio and network management that enables key distribution and key management to be conducted securely over-the-air.
Alias group download
Allows you to update alias IDs quickly and easily, every time a radio is passed from one user to another. This feature can update all radios in a talkgroup and enables seamless alias updates at a push of a button to every radio in a specified talkgroup. Having up to date aliases means everyone always knows who is talking. Personel no longer need to announce themselves.
APX Personnel Accountability
The threat of a raging fire or coordinating a stakeout. The complexity of a multiagency response. The challenge of unknowns as the situation unfolds. At incident command, you need to know who is on-scene, what they are doing, how long they’ve been working, and are they okay.
In the midst of an incident, incident commanders are inundated with tasks, distractions and information from numerous sources – all of which can impact decision-making. Responders can become lost, injured, in distress or worse. That’s why personnel accountability systems are one of the most important safety measures during an incident.
During an emergency situation, personnel accountability solutions can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved – particularly for first responders grappling with stress, overexertion, trauma or the potential for being asphyxiated, caught or trapped.
